The brown leather holster with strap remains in very good condition, it is a little tender and shows some scattered light scuffs and a few tiny tears in the strap but is entirely intact and the leather is clean. The hardwood shipping crate is numbered to the gun in large font on one side and remains in very good plus condition showing a small drying crack at the edge of the lid, some scattered tiny chips, dings and a spot of water staining along the left side of the lid. Barrel-to-frame fit is solid, the hammer functions crisply and the stock hardware functions well. ![]() The gun is sighted with a brass bead front and period Marble's tang aperture sight and the rear sight dovetail is empty but the original rear sight is included. The black checkered hard rubber grips with Marble trademark remain in excellent condition showing just a hint of edge wear and are crisp overall. The folding wire stock retains 99% original nickel finish showing just a few tiny flakes and edge wear. All of the markings are crisp and clear, the hammer and stock hardware show strong case-hardened colors with some very minor silvering. The metal surfaces retain about 97-98% original blue with most of the loss due to some very tiny pinprick pits scattered along the barrel, a few scuffs along the bottom of the barrel and areas toning to plum-brown patina under bright light. This is an excellent game getter amazingly still mated with its original shipping crate and holster. Serial #7267, 22 RF x 410 bore/44 GG, 18'' barrels with a good 22 bore showing scattered light pitting and strong rifling and a bright excellent shotgun bore. ![]()
